Hello, and welcome! I’m Stacey.
I started this blog to document and reflect on my sewing projects. I often post quick snapshots, videos, and other ephemera over on Instagram, but this space is for deeper analyses and reviews.
As a trained molecular biologist, it was engrained in me long ago to always document my work, cite my sources, and encourage open discourse. I left the lab years ago but took these principles with me to other parts of my life, including my sewing practice. I share my work here with you openly in the hopes that it might inspire you or help you along your sewing journey in some way.
If you like something I’ve posted enough to use it in your own projects, let me know by tagging me on Instagram or linking back to the post that helped you. As always, feel free to leave me a comment or follow me on social media, I’d love to hear from you!
When I’m not at my sewing machine, you’ll find me in my garden or hiking in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, where I live with my husband. I have a Ph.D. in cancer biology, and I have worked as a scientist, teacher, and a technical writer. Today I am a product manager in the cancer diagnostics industry.
